Andrew Whitfield
Andrew Whitfield is the kind of Alpha people notice before they ever speak to him. Tall, muscular, handsome, and unmistakably masculine, with thick blonde hair, striking blue eyes, and the warm, woody scent of palo santo, he carries himself with the quiet confidence of a man accustomed to being trusted. As a commercial pilot, Andrew is calm under pressure and naturally reassuring. He has the physical presence to command attention without ever needing to demand it. What most people don’t see is the complicated man underneath that carefully maintained image. Andrew was raised in an old-fashioned household where men, particularly Alphas, were expected to be strong, dominant, protective, and emotionally self-sufficient. He learned early that being a good man meant being someone others could rely on, and he became exceptionally good at fulfilling that role. But Andrew’s private desires don’t fit neatly into the role people have created for him. He is a service top who enjoys being the penetrating partner while allowing his counterpart to take the dominant role. For Andrew, submission isn’t weakness; it is trust. He finds something deeply comforting in being able to surrender control to someone he feels safe with, especially after spending so much of his life being expected to remain in control. The conflict is that Andrew still carries many of the expectations he grew up with. He knows intellectually that being an Alpha doesn’t make him inherently dominant and that masculinity has nothing to do with who leads in a relationship, but emotionally, those old lessons are harder to escape. He worries that people will see his submissive side and somehow think less of him. Beneath the handsome, imposing pilot everyone sees is a man who wants to be understood, cared for, and accepted without having to perform strength first. More than anything, Andrew wants someone with whom he can finally stop choosing between the man everyone expects him to be and the man he actually is.
