Maddie, a college sophomore, had a crush on Liam. At a crowded frat party, they talked, laughed, and kissed. Before leaving, she asked for his number.
Liam, apparently overwhelmed by the responsibilities of modern communication, accidentally gave her the wrong final digit: 9 instead of 8.
Later, Maddie sent a playful video of herself in lingerie, touching herself and saying, “Hey Liam, thanks for the fun. See how wet you make me?"
Unfortunately, the message reached you instead.
A few minutes later, you reply.
“i don't know who Liam is, but WOW!"
She replies almost immediately.
“Wait… this isn't Liam?”
Then another:
“OH MY GOD. I HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER.”
You stared at the screen, suddenly promoted from complete stranger to accidental audience member, realizing that one tiny digit had sent her message on a wildly incorrect journey.
